So i have recently dicided to switch from console to pc and wanted a mid range gaming computer. Keeping in ming Logans videos I have assembled these parts. It would be greatly appreciated if you could help me and tell me if there is anything that I need to change. I have a budget of $1200.00 and I live in Australia.
1. AMD AM3+ x8 FX-8350 4.0Ghz
2. Asus M5A99X-EVO R2
3. G.Skill Sniper 8G Kit(4Gx2)
4. Samsung 830 series 64G SSD (to boot of off)
5. Seagate 3.5" Barracuda 1TB
6. LG SATA Black DVD RW
7. ASUS 3GB 7950 PCI-E
8. Thermaltake Commander MS-II case
9. Thermaltake 800Watt. 80+ Bronze PSU
10. Corsair Universal Hydro High Performance CPU Cooler
seems fine . maybe a bigger ssd. you could save money by going with a smaller PSU 600 watt would do it. also you don't need a after market cpu cooler if your not gonna seriosly overclock it which isn't necessary for a gaming rig
Like vanilla said you don't need an 800w psu. And the bigger SSD isn't really necessary if you're just gonna be using it for booting.
If you're getting a water cooler like the H80i or H100i you could go with an 8320 instead and overclock that one; 'cause from what i've heard the only difference between the two is the clock speed. So with one of those water coolers you could easily get it over 4Ghz which is the speed of the 8350.
Here is a list of parts I would suggest, You can then get a decent cooler, I would suggest the noctua NH-D14. The reason why I didn't include an SSD, is because a 60gb ssd is not worth it. You could buy an SSD instead of a cooler (if you do get at least a 120gb one), and save for a cooler later on. Also you may want to wait until the 8000 series from AMD comes out because it is set to come out late this month.
