Gaming pc in HTPC/Media Center case? recomendations?

This may sound bizarre...but want to crap a gaming build into a case like this and put my monitor on top of it.

It has to support atx (I already have a motherboard) and possibly an r9 290x WAS looking at the 7990 for the same cost but that card is MASSIVE!

cpu cooling shouldn't be an issue as I can get on of those sideways noctua coolers...

I trying to get a sleeker case that doesn't look like an old vcr...it's really slimming down the selection...

thanks!

EDIT:

the pc is to be placed in a dorm, thus a media center case makes more sense (to me) to stick under the monitor

while I do game, I also illustrate in photoshop, render wav files and host a file server...large files but a 4tb drive should be plenty...i think...depends if my file server explodes in size as it's beginning to get advertised...

it would hold an 8 core fx chip...which get a little toasty...

Just tilt your tower sideways; buy some rubber feet for it. I seriously facepalmed when I saw that you wanted a full-sized ATX board with room for a potentially a 7990 - defeats purpose of HTPC form factor.

EDIT: Apparantly people really want full-sized hardware in a HTPC case... I saw the Fractal Design Node 605. Looks to be everything you want:

the only pitfall with the noodle 605 is loss of the odd with fill atx...

unlike 98% of the world, I still haven't given up cds...

not a problem as I can go external or use thumb drives like a smart person

does anyone else have a recommendation?

There is only 1 case that I can find that has room for an 7990 which is the Cooltech G3 http://www.cooltek.de/en/htpc/g3/96/g3 with the Node 605 barely being able to handle a 290x when you don't install 3,5" drives.

HTPC Desktops and full length GPU's don't mix.
