I am building a PC soon and I would want to know some good cases to put my beastly machine in. I will be using an ATX Asus z77 Sabertooth Motherboard and I just want a good airflow and not too loud gaming case. I've been looking at things like the Fractal Design R4, the NZXT Phantom 410, CM Storm Trooper (too expensive yet awesome) and yeah, I want something that looks awesome and has all the features that a good case should have.
Im using a define R4 and love it so id recommend it, but i have my hands all over a Phantom 410 the other days and it felt pretty decent for a plastic case, so that would be a decent choice aswell.
Mmm I live in Asia so sometimes it's hard to find some of these cases, and I want a case that is easy to bring to LAN parties to since we do that a lot and for now I am using a good laptop. :p
If you want something for LAN parties don't get a R4 that thing is heavy - something like 11kg. You're better off with something like the NZXT. Also are you looking for mid tower cases?
Get a Nzxt Phantom 410 i got one and it is great, Enough room to fit double radiator up top and or big air cooler. And removeable drive bay for longer cards.
I say get the Define R4, It comes on gray (pearled), black or white, has a nice airflow, lots of compatibility (you can even put thick rads in it) and is silent (the main Idea of the case).
I just built my new rig and I'm still debating on which case to get. I've had my eye on the CM Storm Scout 2. http://www.cmstorm.com/en/products/chassis/scout_2/ It's something you should check out. I like that it has a carrying handle. Might be something you are into if you plan on taking your PC mobile. My buddy just showed me the R2 today. Pretty sick case.
I have the arc midi r2, it's great unless you want to have a 240mm radiator mounted to the top which is what I'm thinking about doing, upgrading from my h80i to an h100i and swap my case out for a corsair 550d or c70. I'm a big fan of corsair, but nobody should ignore what fractal has to offer with this case. It is awesome.
