Will this pc hold up against Diablo III, Minecraft, FarCry 3, Metro 2033 and TF2?
Are there any changes I should make? I'm already a little over my budget of $750.

It should be good enough, but you're not going to be maxing out Metro. I would suggest looking into the new AMD FX 8350 though.
Actually, now that I've seen some reviews, I would push you in the Intel direction.

I'd say wait it out for more gaming related benchmarks to come out for the Piledriver chips, if you were considering jumping up to a i3, it is very possible that a jump to an FX4300 would provide you with far greater performance, especially considering it OC potential (upwards of 5.0GHz).
I just watched a review that Tiny Tom Logan did, and he tested out the FX 8350 against the i5 3570K. The i5 3570K at stock speeds was faster than the FX 8350 overclocked to 4.7Ghz.
In other words:
i5 3570K @3.4Ghz > AMD FX 8350 @4.7Ghz
That's a 1.3Ghz difference and the i5 still destroys it. Not to mention that you can overclock the i5 to between 4.5 and 4.8 Ghz anyway.
