Gaming or High-End Headphones?

Which is better overall for gaming, to have a specialised gaming headphones or go high-end (get like a Sennheiser HD598)

High-end headphones without a question.

Go ahead and pick up the HD 558's. The 598's have no real sound quality improvement, just better looks.

The only exceptions are headsets made by real audio companies who throw in a driver from one of their successful headphones and slap a mic on. The only reasonably priced one from that camp is the Sennheiser PC360 (is an HD 555 with a mic).
