Hi,
I try a setup with Tesla P100 on msi pro z690-a
On my windows 11 25h2, I keep get error 10 or 43 for P100.
I do ensure have config on BIOS correct like ‘Above 4G Decoding’=true ‘Re-size BAR‘=true
force the PCIE slot using Gen 3.
What windows version should I used, and what driver versions should I used?
I test with studio driver 581.57, some other older version like 576.80.
you have to use an older driver they patched it out
I think 536.25 works
Back with another adventure: Got in my 1st Nvidia CMP 100-210, finally found a driver that let my EVGA 1660 work with this card. For any looking at running a bit older card as video out I found 581.57 works with both cards. Now to do a little tinkering to get it set to do benchmarks and gaming. If things work out I’ll e back later with some screen shots.
Edit: Found time to get things setup better after much research.
Was quite simple once I founded what I need to make this work.
Haven’t done any testing or benchmarks as of yet. I have the rest of the afternoon to do that. ![]()
Got in a CMP 50hx have in the test bed. It will overclock but No top level testing done.
Add100 to core gives 95 extra 100 to memory only gives 25 extra.
Having trouble with the CMP 100-210 and 50HX working together in this Motherboard.
The bench marks i ran didn’t look good, but this mining MB CPU sucks Celeron 1800Mhz
Got in a different one I’ll be testing ASAP when I get this old BTC T37 out of the way.
OC also works on the CMP 100-210 only a small OC to test while Folding@Home 100 core 100 memory. 1380 stock & 810 Mem. Not quite a full 100 jump but it better than nothing.
Edit: As you may have noticed I’m running a much older driver so I can test if this topic works with these cards. With the mining MB I’m using I’ve gone through quite a few card placements getting only 4 to work at once. Ranging from the 3 cards seen here so far while getting a Tesla k20X or a Tesla K40 & Titan XP so far tested working. BTC-79x5 MB has been pretty simple working with & getting up to 4. 1 PCIe slot is occupied by a SSD adapter for more drive space.
I’m still learning and was told The amount of memory count will work only up to the amount 4G and options allow. I did run into problems when I tried to run a M40 24GB with the main 3 cards I haven’t changed. The 3 cards are 31GB of vram.
I gave back my V100 so I don’t have it anymore but did you figure out how to overclock on volta tesla?
mine was locked to 1380mhz
Version 551.78 is the absolute latest version where you could enable WDDM with Tesla GPUs with registry modification. You can get it from CUDA toolkit 12.4.1 (install only display driver).
could you check if this lets you raise clocks on p40/p100
Uh, im running mine on 581.57(geforce driver) which is a year later and it runs the registry hack fine,i would’ve tried a pater ver but it’s the newest driver to support volta and turing out of the box without issues for me.
I’ll check this out tomorrow if I have time, on my p100 I have to add another Registry entry
GridLicensedFeatures
with a value of 7 and change feature score to d1
along with adapter type of 1
Latest doesn’t want to work neither does 581.42
Trying 581.57 now
Yeah I can’t get it to switch into wddm on 581.57
Hi, i try to run a Tesla P6 in my Dell 7710 Laptop, but it seems that i have a vBIOS Problem (No boot, runs in Dell-BIOS loop), does anyone know which VBIOS will work for Laptops? Actual Version is HP Bios 86.04.68.00.01

You need to enable above 4g decoding and disable CSM in bios first have you done that?
Its working now, thank you very much for your help
