Gaming Keyboard /w Mx Blues & Blue Backlighting?

Title speaks for itself, but I need a new keyboard and I want something with Mx Blue keyswitches and Blue backlighting. The Razer BWU 2012 is a no-go because of the gross glossy finish. Anyone know of any? Ducky is out of the question, $150 for a keyboard with key wobble and zero extra features is not worth it for me.

The ducky's customizable lighting options is hard to compete with when just talking about backlight. They also offer more switch + backlight (with/without 10key) combinations than just about anyone. Im not suggesting a ducky but they are what you pay for.

IF you're in the mood for brown switches instead, try the Nighthawk x8. You're gonna have a hard time finding it, though. It's currently quite popular.

i prefer my q-pad mk 85 over the ducky. you get the option of which cherry switch you want which means a less clicky clacky keyboard.

personally i went for the reds as i spend more time gaming then typing. allso cherry blues are more difficult to double tap with.

the 1 thing that swung it for me is the 1 thing most people ignore. NKrol (full key roll over/anti ghost via usb). this is the real functionality of a keyboard.

its fine if you have 6 key roll and play fps only but if you type, play other games like teken you will need more.

the 1 company i recomend every 1 steer clear of is razor, they managed to gimp all there mechanical keyboards by trying to optomise the wasd keys. which to be fair they did up to a point. and that point was at the expence of the other keys on the keyboard.

they claim there gamer orientated yet didnt understand that fps gamers often move off the wasd keys to esdf. you do this on a razer keyboard and your suddenly limited to 3-4 key roll over which is poorer than most 5 dollar wallmart keyboard...

stay well clear guys. they are over priced junk.

Pwn - Their price point just doesn't cut it for what I need. The CM Stom that Paw suggested seems to tickle my fancy, it's at a really good price too.

HEX - Does the q-pad come in blue? All the pictures I've seen were red. Also, yeah I heard Razer makes amazing mice but terrible everything else haha

the mk 80 comes with blue backlights but it also is slightly different in how it connects to the pc. instead of just 1 usb there is a ps/2 a usb and 2 35mm jacks for the other features. what this means is you only get full nkroll if you connect via the ps/2 but if you use the usb your limited to 6. i think that the backlighting works on the ps/2 but im not sure... best email em from the link... i heard back from them within 2 days when i wasked about the mk 85.

honestly though i thought the red led may be an issue too, but after using it for the past 9 or so months i can say i dont care.

as for the amazing mice? no mate they make 1 amazinge mouse in the deathadder. (i had the lachesis and it had terrible negative acceleration and the mmb broke with no physical signs of damage).currently im warning people off anything razor other than the deathadder mk1 or 3.5G. i feel its only fair to the comunity that they should be warned not to buy there over priced junk, thats sold more on hype than quality. seriously i dunno which gamers are selling there souls to endorse razor products but they need to stop.

Well I personally love my Razer Taipan and Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013. Also in terms of pricing I would say they were pretty average since at least in my country the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 is $200 which is the same as a ducky keyboard and the Razer Taipan is $120 which is the same price as the SteelSeries Sensei.

true but try pressing more than 4 keys then you havd shift and w pressed. any 4 keys that aint the arrow keys or the rest of the wasd selection.

keep the keys pressed down each time and then count how many you have down b4 the lest one doesnt show up if you traverse the keyboard you will find its between 4 and 6 keys. a ducky on the other hand will allow 6 keys at the very least across the whole keyboard... now that may be acceptable for you but most gamers would have issues. as for being the same price. the fact you have backlighting macros pass though usb and so on on the razer and just get a keyboard off ducky for the same money tell you the ducky is likely better because they dont have to tart there keyboard up with extras but instead give better core functionality.

they may cost the same but your getting better quality for your money with ducky. they may be basic looking keyboards but they are very good basic keyboards.

and please when you find out that your razer is flawed so badly. dont come back and start shouting at me for pointing it out. shout at razer for selling you a turkey.

better still send it back under waranty and demand a refund as they sold you a product thats unfit for the purpose sold it for, because it is so flawed on the key matrix.

then take that refund and do some research and then buy a good quality mechanical keyboard. not just a piece of eye candy...

How often does a mechanical keyboard break? Also any of the newer Razer Keyboard's such as mine have 10 key rollover functionality so yes I can press 10 keys at the same time and yes it's the same price. Stop living in the past yes Razer may have had some shitty quality product's but that doesn't mean they can't change or bring out something kick-ass.

llol 10 key rol over in gaming mode? so its a feature you have to turn on which means its a psudo key roll over and it still comes at the expence of the other keys on the keyboard. you cant press 10 keys in any combination they have to be a certain 10key group because of the gaming matrix and its run in software not hardware so its actually emulated key roll over not actual.. like i said dont bitch at me because you bought an inferiour product that claims its the best.

i aint living in the past i just dont buy sales hype.

dont get me wrong i think its very pretty, but like a pretty girl its pretty but vacant.

The Rosewill 9100 - I love mine! Cherry MX Blues w/ individual per-key blue backlighting.

Ducky or filco. They are the best for a reason, not crappy in the slightest. Might want to look at the Corsair K90 as well, its got red key switch's. But i like reds more then blues.

Read more into it... "The Widow's "gaming mode" is a useful feature that disables certain key combos to prevent inadvertent gameplay interruptions. By default, the Windows key will be disabled, but you can add ALT+F4 and ALT+TAB to that list within Synapse. Enabling gaming mode, according to Razer, also kicks the 10-key rollover into gear, but we found the Widow adept at registering 10 simultaneous key strokes with or without gaming mode enabled, to Razer's credit." Link to page. Say what you want to say about my "inferior" product I love it, it sounds and feels amazing to type and game on.

me 2. thats why i went with em. reds are liniar and require the least effort of all bar mx whites. but no gaming keyboard uses them.

if your comming from a membrain keyboard you wont really notice the preasure required by black cherrys but the reds do feel a lot lighter...

blues and browns are to noisy even with Orings applied under the keys. and like i say double tapping can be very hit and miss with them. there great for typing but not so good for gaming.
