Gaming HTPC Build

Hey Tek Sindicate,

I just joined, so go a little easy with the tech mumbo-jumbo.

I want to know if this is a good Gaming HTPC build:

Let me know if there is something I can tweak. I can't go above $700, but to have that extra $100 just in case if something goes wrong. Also, will the Phenom's stock cooler fit in the mATX case? Thanks!

Thats looking like a pretty solid build. I might double check that the HD 7870 will fit correctly in that case (:p I'm not gonna do it for ya), other than that this seems fine. I don't think you'll have any troubles with the Phenom II's cooler, its a bit bigger than the standard cooler (and a fair bit better), but it isn't large by any means. That case is a bit on the expensive side but it does look pretty solid, I generally don't recommend spending more than 10% of your budget on the case, but since your going for a smaller form factor perhaps it can be overlooked.

Also, none of those links worked for me.

Inb4 giga wants to redo your entire build.

DOH!

you got me

alright I'll get to work ya slave drivers
