Gaming headset for around $100

I was wondering if there were any good headsets out there for around $100 (US).

I want something really comfortable, as I get headaches pretty easily. This would be my first pair of gaming headsets. I would like them to be compatible with the ps3 and PC. I plan to use them mostly for FPS  games like BF4.

Some questions:

Wired or Wireless - which is more expensive? is there a quality difference?

Leather or mesh: which is the best for comfort? for sound?

Surround sound or stereo: I think SS is better for FPS

Connect by usb? dont they all do this? why is this a selling point?

Priorities- comfort first, then sound.

Thanks a bunch!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wired or Wireless - which is more expensive? is there a quality difference?

Wireless is generally more expensive, and can diminish the sound quality.

Leather or mesh: which is the best for comfort? for sound?

This is subjective, I prefer leather (or pleather, as you are going to be getting on most cheap headphones).

Surround sound or stereo: I think SS is better for FPS

Avoid SS headphones like the plague, they don't contribute much to games, and send the audio quality down the toilet.

Connect by usb? dont they all do this? why is this a selling point?

If a headset connects via USB, it probably uses SS, and you also can't use your own AMP and DAC.

For $100, I strongly recommend the Audio Technica ATH-M50. The audio is extremely high quality for the price, and is one of the most comfortable headphones I have ever used.

Thanks so much!

Does this have a mic?

steelseries siberia V2s are great :)

no m50 dont but im sure a cheap desktop mic stand thingy should work
