about to start a new project and been given short time frame to come up with specs, so thought someone will have been down this path recently and will save me a load of research time and also avoid my bias for AMD. rough plan is 2 -3 esports gaming rooms 10 to 20 pc’s each room on a 10gig network only touching the campus / site network through a lancache / dns. as i said i have bias for amd so need a reality check here. has anyone got spec’s or done research on best cpu mother board combo’s for gaming, pci5, vrm’s being able to handle the newer lines of 40 series gpu’s.
Server wise loving the epic video @wendell put out on titanite (que whitesnake is this love) once again bias kicking in here, and need some grounding, seems perfect for lancache, and DNS & host virtual machines for game server hosting. has anyone have experience of running lancache on a larger scale and have other platforms for recommendation.
