PS: I know the guy in the video OC the hell outta the X2 but for 30 bucks more you can too.

Nice!

ohh I like a challenge! brb

would not at all trust the PSU the case comes with

but if this was a $350 build this is what I would pick

CPU

MOBO

Ram

PSU

GPU

HDD

Case

the GPU is the 128bit GDDR5 version, yours was the GDDR3

if you want to go the amd OC route then get this heatsink, and replace your case with mine and the PSU, and switch your GPU with mine

Hmm thanks for the feedback guys! I like your thinking giga!

Thats pretty awesome, but don't forget used or not working parts, I was browsing the tomshardware classifieds and found some guy who built a 300$ pc on the x58 platform with a gtx295. He had apparently bought a 20$ motherboard with bent pins and found the i7 on Craigslist for 60 bucks. Evga b stock is pretty nice too

omg this is perfect thanks bro, i am a console gamer and i dont like sony butfucking me any more with the playstation i was thinking about getting a gaming pc, but the think is i am poor as fuck so this is perfect i think ill be building the system but only with a different video card because i am kinda lucky that i have a neighbur who gave me a 5870 for my birthday and i think with that grafix card this will kick total ass and will also totally kick my playstations ass :D

you lucky son of a bitch, that card is kickass, just tell me how much you want to spend, and I can help you out

well without having to buy grafix i was thinking about upgrading the cpu or the motherboard or even switch platform, i was looking online and the am3 platform is really hard to find here in the netherlands they only sell the quad core and the six core over here and no more motherboards, so i think i am gonna go for a phenom X4 or a new am3+ cpu but are they really that much better then the old phenoms ? my budget is about 350-400 bucks

netherlands, I'll see what I can do, mostly speciallize in american stores like newegg

update, findout if this store is reputable and how to sort by price, and how to check out shipping cost

omg thanks bro those 1155 boards are actually really cheap, and they are close by so the schipping is really cheap too, i think i am gonna go with 1155 instead of am3+ one of those asrock boards with like an i3 that will play games really nice i think

yeah, I would try to get a z68 or a z75 or z77 since they have ram overclocking too, but h61, h67 works too, you'll just be limited to 1333 ram, I thinik I'm under budget, english is my only language I know so idk

PSU

CPU

RAM

MOBO

CASE

its 350.50 E before shipping, idk how much that is, but that will make a pretty sweet rig with the 5870, also you still have a whole range of CPUs to upgrade with in the future if you want it faster

edit: shit I forgot a hard drive and optical drive, if you don't need one this will be perfect but if you do, then you'll want to pick different cpu, ram, and mobo and leave the case and PSU the same

thanks allot man ! its about 365€ with tax and shipping, i can finally play dayZ on the server now with this machine, and ill be using this for my next school project like how to build youre own pc for cheap it will be A+ i know that already haha, but again thanks allot i could not have done this without you i hope to maybe play some games with you now that i finally play some pc games :D

edit: oh and i already have a 2 terabyte usb3 drive i am just gonna take that out of its little case and use that because its just a normal sata drive in there and i dont need an opticaldrive because i buy all my games on steam and we use digital books from school so no need for a drive and CD is so 90s anyway :P

You could also go socket fm1 with an a6-3670k and crossfire with a 6670. nice and cheap, yet relatively powerful. the only problem with that would be upgradability down the line would be next to none.

I am from malaysia so the under usd 300(hiher if convert to my currency, more than 3 times),this is what i bought direct from retailer,

but i feel i should have put more money to buy i5 and radeon 7870

This build works although i got a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Mobo instead and the GPU is GDDR5. And since everyone saying not to trust to PSU i have a Corsair 500watt shipping to my house. Thanks  TheGentleman

Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 good choice with amd,amd mobo and cpu is way cheaper than intel and out performs intel...i regret by build, didnt do enough reserch, its my first build....arggh!!!

while we all necro'd a 10 month old thread:
Intel g2020 is a good choice, since you can put more money into the video card, there's no real need for an i5 for gaming. The OP says athlon II 250, that's old as grandma, get Athlon II x2 340 if you want a cheapass gaming rig. Or even better get a quad core Athlon II x4 750k.

Tropiko, thanks for the reply, i want to ask u,which gpu do u think will be the best for g2020? without bottleneck or overkill it,and do u think i should upgrade now or wait few more years?i believe after the next gen consoles come out. pc gaming industry will make something to attract back customers, maybe price reduction or something like that..

Yeah i already plan on getting a AMD Phenom II X4 965 or better but for now this works out fine.
