do you intend on overclocking and how much if so?

benchmarks for your GPU and CPU

its good, but for the money you can do better

you'd be saving nearly a hundred bucks from your maximum expenditure of $900, maybe you can spare a tad more to get an SSD along side your mechanical HDD and you'd be good to go!

Replace the motherboard with this. You will get better results with your cpu.The H77 chipset isnt all that great, on the plus side you will be able to upgrade the parts in the computer with this board.

I'd also recommend upgrading the CPU to a 3570K. The 2500k has horrid thermals and sucks power.

The rest of the parts will suffice. Consider picking up a Solid State Drive in the future as a boot drive.

After upgrades, should be somewhere around $850-870. The upgrades pay off in the long run, older tech tends to have issues down the road. Ivy Bridge is the newest you got, and also the best bang for your buck on the market if you plan on overclocking.

If you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask.

well ive never overcloked before so i probably wont

thanks for all the help ive made some changes and will be ordering the parts soon

Think my recommendations are solid for his budget?

Maybe upgrade to 1866 DDR3 instead of 1600? given hes not going to be overclocking it so it shouldnt be a problem.

Glad we could be of service ;)

the 560Ti 448 is just a tad bit slower than the 570, and the 660Ti beats it

This is something I needed to see, a benchmark comparison between GPU and CPU :) Good Post!
