wow that third option sounds quite appealing, with SteamOS on the cards soon maybe that would be an option. This may sound stupid but will origin work with SteamOS ?
Ive not tryed it i am waiting for the stable vershon of setam's os before i try it out.
If hes a student you can maybe get windows 7 or 8 for free from microsoft dreamspark.
Or there are outher ways of geting windows for free..
