I am going to be building a gaming pc which will be used to stream and edit.
It needs to be powerful enough to render/work with hd and run games mostly maxed out.
Just wanting opinions on this list before I dive right in and spend $2000
I definately want to do a little bit of overclocking with the 4790K
Here's my list, forgot to put it in or it vanished, i dont know but here http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/p/xg2GhM
Thanks,

Put together a build on pcpartpicker.com and I'll be glad to look it over.
Something like:
Intel 4790k
Z97 mobo
R9 280x/290/290x or gtx770/780/780ti
650-750 wattt psu
8gb ddr3 ram
120gb ssd and 1or2tb hard drive
Etc.....
Not totally sure if you care about looks. Blue ram + red motherboard...

At this budget, you also might want to look into LGA2011
2011 build
Red RAM Blue motherboard. lol
VERY strong CPU ...but only a 780TI card
16 gigs of 2600 speed Ram
250 SSD
2TB HDD
650 Watt gold PSU....Not as much wattage Needed than dual cards, but not as awesome. However that CPU is REALLY beefy. and that Ram is REALLY fast.
I did out one together and i put the link in but it vanished :( ill try again

I had a look at this and I don't care about looks because i put a list on but my link vanished.
I don't know about the video cards, I want more of an nVidia solution (yes yes, fanboy) but other than that.
Also I am from NZ so not all parts are available
Thanks

Im gonna put this here real quick
Fractal Design Define R4
ASUS Sabertooth z87
Intel i7 4770K
Nvidia GeForce GTX 780TI Superclocked
Corsair HX 850Watt PSU
Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1600mhz
Kingston v300 SSD 120GB
Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB
All that for $1650 let me know if you're interested, I JUST built it and put it up for sale.
i tested this out with shadowplay running crysis 3 in 3D with everything maxed out and still got 85-90 fps with a +250 gpu offset. even without overclocking this is way more power than you need for editing or gaming.
I think A 280/290 is perfect and better value.
Well he wants to edit as well which I'm guessing would be in hd so the cuda cores would be a plus
OpenCL acceleration is also a thing. The 780 ti is a beast of a card, though.
sorry but i live in NZ, unless u do 2?
Yes the 780ti is a beast of a card but my budget is $2000 NZD so its about 1600 - 1700 US, I am more leaning to the 780.
holy crap, it would be like 800 bucks to ship it to you lol
If the programs you use can utilize OpenCL acceleration, then I'd take the R9 290 for its lower price point, very similar gaming performance, and more VRAM when compared to the GTX 780.
Yeah I have considered AMD but they run a little too hot for my liking, so I am more a fan (boy) of an nVidia card
