Gaming Analog Headset

I want to get an Analog headset because I want to get use a sound card but most gaming headsets are usb powered and I'm looking for a good analog headset ? any recommendations ?

I use a Razer Tiamat 2.2, it is very comfortable and under $100 depending on where you buy. I used my friends Razer Kraken Pro headset and they sounded better to me than my Tiamats.

Unfortunately I have only used a Razer headset so I can only recommend those at the moment. I do always hear good things about logitech though.

How is the mic quality ? on both headsets if you got to use them ?

The mic is good, I wouldn't say it stands out in anyway, after all it is an Analog mic. You might need to buy a wind shield (fuzzy thing on the end of mic) to prevent air hitting the mic. But overall I have no complaints with it.

Sennheiser PC360.

On the Razer Tiamiat 2.2 how is the mic and the sound like games like bf,cod...and did you play with a sound card ?

Check out the CM Storm EDIT: Sirus S, not seidon haha XD. Great headset with 4 individual drivers in each ear for 5.1 surround (trust me, I can pinpoint a helicopter, jet, tank, whatever without ever seeing it in BF4) The mic is actually superb. I make phone calls from home for work quite often with a softphone and I use these headsets. Nobody knows that it's a gaming headset, and when hearing a recording of myself, it sounded great.

The only downfall is that the sound quality is not top-notch or even very loud. Certainly loud enough and sounds good enough, but it's not something I would want to listen to music on, but great for gaming.

btw, here is a link to it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CMbXquTO7boCFUwV7AodXzIABw&Item=N82E16826570018&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-Headsets+%26+Accessories-_-N82E16826570018&ef_id=UlB@VAAABVS6Uhvy:20131118053604:s

If you got some bucks to put on a good headset, I recommend the Sennheiser PC350 or the PC360. I got the PC350 because they were more into my taste as they really get around the ears, but the PC360 is also a good choice. In term of sound, it is Sennheiser and it is difficult to best them. I think that the mic is of great quality too. I have been using my headset for about 1 year now and I had no problem with it. Previously I was using a Steelseries headset and they kept broking down.
