Games via Wine are all boxed

Hi All,
I am having some issues with games on Wine, well I don’t know if its an actual issue but I am not sure what to do.
The laptop I am running games on is a Dell XPS 13 9360 with a 3200x1800 screen (I have set it to 1080p in system settings) running Ubuntu 18.04 and latest stable wine release.
On multiple games like Fallout 1/2 and Hitman Contracts I get black borders at each side of the game.
Fallout 1/2 are currently set at 1080p and Hitman contracts is set at 1280x1024

Any suggestions to this? I thought it maybe a internal resolution issue but no matter the gaming resolution I use the borders don’t go.

should be able to run winecfg and set a virtual desktop

Just found this setting while digging around, fixed hitman just need to get a good resolution, although I keep getting an error about process hanging, hoping a quick restart gets rid of it.
