Gamers Nexus calls BS on Intels 5GHz 28 core CPU

For Fox sake, this isn’t high end desktop or HEDT. This is pure server part. High end desktop is socket 2011 or whatever they are on now and X299 chipset. What Intel used was a server part with beyond exotic cooling and said they will sell it by the end of the year.

This.

No normal person is going to invest in a heat pump to add chilled water to their loop.

No normal person is going to buy 28 core part at 5ghz either

I would argue that TR is more in reach of the normal person than that 28c intel whatever its going to be, but that remains to be seen on price point.

No one at ALL will buy a 5ghz 28 core Intel CPU…

wont exist

An aquarium chiller as a cooling device for a computer is exotic by definition.

Case closed. … Moving on.

Correct, because Intel has no such product.

Affordability is irrelevant

Normal people dont need TR either to be honest, but that depends on what this forum thinks is normal

Moving on to what continueing circle jerk of REEEE intel and Hooray AMD?

then why is everyone so angry about a something that was never meant for them and that they were never interested in in the first place?

Im not arguing that.

The same reason I am not OK and angry about Nvidia’s shady business. Because it’s not right and we should not stand for it.

getting off topic…

how is vaporware a shady business practice? its a bad one sure but far from shady

So you think what Intel did isn’t shady and wrong and misleading and false advertising? All bad things basically…

over promising and under delivering happens all the time, some idiot on here claimed Ryzen would auto boost to 5ghz or some shit when they had no idea how xfr worked.

So does censorship.

Yeah, like in “not AMD… on stage…”
