I recently bought a Gamecube controller mainly for Super Smash Bros on my Wii. However I haven't been playing a lot of Smash but I want to use the controller more often. So now I am wondering if it is possible to use Gamecube controller for games that aren't emulators. And also what adapter should I use to connect my controller on my PC. I've been looking at the official one for the Wii U but I don't know if there are better options out there
As I understand it, the official one is great.
On the other hand, though, I don't actually have enough technical knowledge of the GCN controller to tell you if you can use it the way you are thinking. On a third hand (I may be a mutant), there are several different utilities available to use controllers in non-controller-supporting games available. Joy2Pad comes to mind, for instance. If your computer and your games can't recognize the controller, one of these may be able to take care of the problem.
Gamecube controller is fine for a GC emulator but less buttons than a standard PC controller (by which I mean 360).
Id rather pay for a PS3 controller than a mayflash.
