Game Capturing Issues

SORRY IN ADVANCE IF SOMETHING SIMILAR IS ALREADY POSTED AND IF IM IN THE WRONG PART OF THE FORUM

[FYI: AUDIO AND VIDEO NOOB HERE]

I Can't record gameplay audio and mic sound at the same time.I've been having some issues regarding this since yesterday. I might have messed up somewhere in my settings but I don't have a clue.

I was recording a gameplay commentary of Daylight, not knowing that I messed it up. I have both Fraps and Bandicam, basicly I switched to bandicam because of the darkness issues in fraps, and since then had no problems till yesterday, I don't know if it has to do with Realtek, because I tried to record 10secs with fraps and it works, downloaded trial version of dxtory and have the same problem as with Bandicam. Tried with Audacity to check my mic, and it works, same goes for OBS, works fine. My last recording was playing The walking dead s2 e2, recorded last monday.

It's really frustrating because, tried to google for some answers but no results, just basic FAQs. As I might have said, I'm not sure if it has to do anything with the stereo mix, because from what I understand if you put it to record audio from Stereomix it records everything that the pc is emitting (youtube, microphone, ingame sounds, etc) but I don't use it anyway. My settings in Bandicam is Primary Sound device : win 8 (WASAPI), secondary: Blu snowball mic.

And I've been up all night going around about my pc but no clue, since I have no idea where to start with, and along coming the rage, I just straight up deleted Bandicam, and planning to get a license of Dxtory, since alot it things seem more practical in it.

HALP MEH ! D:

why not just use OBS?

Use OBS. Fraps and Bandicam are both crapware. Fraps is only good for benchmarking, not capture.

Thats what I'm doing now, but the thing is even if I set it for 1080 when I watch the recording, the quality of the video is quite low

What is your bit rate?

Set your bit rate higher. That will help with quality. It won't matter as much if it is really up there because you aren't streaming.

I just checked it now and it's 1000, what would be the recommended? 5-10000?

10,000 is what I use.

Ok all set, thanks alot man. But I have another concern, what I don't understand is how come, I cannot record multichannel. Coz when I have to edit my audio recordings and such, if I had to mute random noises I can't anymore (this morning I tried downloading Action! and Dxtory and still can't) I completely sure that I have messed up somewhere, the question is I where?! because all my prior video recordings i didnt have any problem recording//editing them over at Sony Vegas (gameplay audio in one track, and voice in another, all in one go over at Bandicam, and if I have to go thru audacity, and record voice commentary, manually sync it with gameplay and such, IMO it would quite frustrating.

Yeah, I don't think you can do that yet in OBS. I should make a post on their site somewhere to request that being implemented.
