Okay so I do not mind having to spend a little cash to get a program, but which would be best, this is for Youtube, Twitch is all handled with OBS.
I am thinking between these few
Dxtory - Fraps - OBS - Action! - MSI Afterburner
I want high quality over anything else, I have 10mbps UL so size uploading is nothing really, I also have a 500GB HDD for mass storage, which is completely empty currently, I will be getting another drive soon :)
I would ideally like to render in 1080p 60FPS, and also record at that if possible with my specs, and maybe up-sample to 2k when I get a 970, if it is worth it?
Okay so specs are on my profile, is it possible with that hardware to even do 1080p with one of these programs, that is my main priority
I will be doing WoW mostly also, nothing else until I get a 970.
If OBS is the winner what settings would you suggest?
Many thanks!
I record for Youtube not Twitch streaming but I have used:
Fraps - Real nice video quality, huge files sizes quite a hit on fps. 25%
DXtory - OK video quality, codec dependant, smaller files sizes lower hit to fps 10%
AMD Raptr - OK video quality, hardware (GPU) encoding zero fps performance hit.
The last one is my preferred choice but is dependant on AMD graphics cards. It can Twitch stream but I have only used it for Youtube.
There is an nVidia equivlent to the AMD one that I hear is very good.
This video was recorded with Fraps, edited and encoded with Sony Vegas, but Youtube rips the crap out of anything you upload. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bin-vgtOWJs
Do you have a recent Nvidia card? If so shadowplay for the low low price of free
EDIT: I probably should have looked at your rig first before asking. You could try Raptr like PendragonUK said
You can use Quick Sync and Nvidia Encoder in OBS. I recommend OBS.
