Game and edit

Debating on a new computer similar to Logan's Honey Badger as it will be mobile small and kick ass in both game and edit time....my question is should I go with an i5 3570k with Nvidia graphics for the cuda cores or go all in AMD 8350 and matching GPU? Will be over clocking and this is going on a Mini ITX inside a Cooler Master Elite 120 so I have space for a GPU some air flow just not a huge space for CPU cooler. Anything can help thanks community =)

Right now your only option is Intel because there is no 990FX mini-ITX board that I know of.

Well there is a M-ATX version of the prodigy case on the way, that could widen your options like a Asus x79 Gene. Would not reccomend any form of overclock in the case you mention, its very cramped and the newer Intels gets very hot.

There is really not any good choices in small AMD mobos.

Also you mention no budget or what software you use editing, you have to get the GPU that can accelrate your software.

This is an expensive build but you list no budget heh, also partpicker does not have the prodigy case so you would have to add that to price, I picked the reference GPU so you can get a waterblock for your GPU and expand your watercooling setup down the road, if you don't want this option then pick a non reference model for better cooling.

Pretty much the whole Adobe suite but our main programs are going to be Photoshop, Illustator, After Effects, and Audition. Pro Tools 10, Blender and Gimp my also be used on it for its early stages untill we get our copies for each computer. My photographer/Director will be looking for more of the visual editing and stationary rig. I am more audio and graphic design and need a mobile rig (why I wanted Mini ITX and took after the "Honey Badger" build). Both of us are looking at the Sub $1k area for the moment but if we hold off till January we would be looking more of the sub $2k area pending cash flow and how fast our project takes off

This is the compability list for Photoshop CS6, so it seems you can use pretty much any card, I'm not sure if this goes for the whole suite and the extra programs you mention, must admit this kind of software is not my strong side.

nVidia GeForce 8000-, 9000-, 100-, 200-, 300-, 400- og 500-serien

nVidia Quadro 400, 600, 2000, 4000 (Mac og Win), CX, 5000 og 6000

AMD/ATI Radeon 2000-, 3000-, 4000-, 5000-, 6000- og 7000-serien

AMD/ATI FirePro 3800, 4800, 5800, 7800, 8800, 9800, 3900, 4900, 5900 og 7900

Intel Intel HD Graphics, Intel HD Graphics P3000 og Intel HD Graphics P4000

AMD will give you most for the money in CPU, but as mentioned above there is only ATX options as far as i know. So only option for M-ITX is Intel, unless you will be satisfied with an FM2 socket(Not recommended for your use case)

Her is my bid at 1K USD aprox, still need to add the prodigy case, and I will asume you have some old HDD's you can use for storage. I chose socket 1155 because they have good prices atm, since the shops are clearing out old inventory.

If you have 2K in january I would make a new post there, its hard to predict what the best option is 6 months from now hehe.

i put the 3570k and a 680 which should fit in your case

i wish i had this kind of money D: but i guess the next best thing is helping other people :D

Really don't understand this suggestion, slower CPU, slower GPU and no SSD and no WiFI which could come in handy on a mobile rig, its a no brainer which setup will be best for editing and gaming.
