Galaxy S4, ScummVM- WTF?

Hey ya'll! I had to get rid of my iPhone 3... had the thing for a few years, but in looking for a new phone, I found the Galaxy s4 to be a much better phone than anything apple is offering.

So now that I have an android phone, I want to use scummvm to play some of those classic games from my past. However, upon downloading the app, it just goes to a black screen, and nothing happens. I don't know the first thing about using scummvm, but I thought there would be a bunch of people in the tek syndicate forums that can help me out.

So, what's up with the blank screen? Anyone know?

Then suggest a game or two that you think I should put on it once i've got it all up and running.

Although I'm not familiar with the app, its Google Play page shows that it hasn't been updated in almost a year - last update was July 31, 2012. As I recall, the S4 is running on the latest version of Android - 4.2.2. The app is probably outdated and hasn't been optimized for newer versions of Android. Or it might be a phone-specific issue. Try to install and run it on a different device. Or ask somebody to do it for you to check.

I actually just bought an S4 today as well. I had the same problem. I rebooted the phone,  and I was able to get the app to run. However,  I went and downloaded a few of the ROMs and I can't get then to run. Not as a RAR, not as a zip,  nothing. If anyone has any help,  let me know!

I know that the topic is rather old, but I just stumbled upon the same problem trying to run Scumm on my cheapo ICS tablet. Turns out fiddling with auto-rotate helps (mine seems to work only in one orientation), so if anyone has this problem - give it a go.
