fx8350/8320 vs I5 3570k/4670k

Hello everyone, I know that similar posts regarding these two cpu are already out there, however I want to ask in a slightly differet aspect then already familiar to you gaming.

I am planning on building my new rig and the gaming is not at all what I have on mind. Basicaly I think of getting into tradng FX market. So the pc Im thinking of is something like that

16 gb or 1600MHz ram, Nvidia NVS 300 dual display graphic, some ssd for boot and regular HDD for other stuff. 430W Corsair Modular PSU and either of these CPUs mentioned in the title.

It will be my regular computer as well so web browsing, documents etc on one screen, charts and trading programs on the other. Which of these would be better for multitasking and having many programs open at the same time, and also how much worse is AMD FX power consumption? Because my PC will be ON a lot.

Just for the sake of comparison:

FX 8350 £149

FX 8320 £120

i5 3570K £168

i5 4670K £189

Of course AM3 MB are relatively cheaper as well, and if money wasn't important I would't be asking:)

Basically it comes down to is fully capable of the multitasking that I will need, and is it worth the extra money?

8350 is better in multicore apps 3570k is stronger in single core apps

8320 is less good than the 8350 4670k is more gooder than the 3570k

the amd side only makes a difference when you've got lots of very intensive apps open. chrome and word don't count. The difference is not much in my opinion.

power consumption minimal difference.

I suggest to you to check out the following review: click! It'll provide you with a comparison of the processors you are looking at in gaming performance and in productivity benchmarks.

Thanks guys

tiwo thanks for the link, Im surprised to see AMD doing so badly in multitasking despite its '8' cores.

yeah "gooder" (not trolling) i do love that word

I have the 8350 and love it. Does everything I want and dose it fast too! Great for gaming and it's cheaper than alot of other cpus
