Wrong, AMD is running with a CMT (Cluster core) normally called a module.
A module is essentially a core with dublicated components like integer and memory pipeline.
The only reason they can call it an 8 core is because of the clombsy scheduling system they are running with.
There is nothing as a virtual core.
Power consumptions is far from the reason. It is a plus, but it NOT the determining factor.
I disagree at some points, but honnestly the amd vs intel crap allways hurting my head lol Fact is that both cpu´s are great. i allways look at price to performance
Just try to make a system as balanced as possible. cpu/mobo/gpu.
that intel i7-4770K is overall a better cpu, i would not arguing about that. lol ☺ only about virtualization, the FX is a great choice because of AMD VI
