im building a pc and ive seen the the amd fx 8350 for the same price as the I5 2500K but whisc is better?
And if the 8350 is better can anyone give me motherboard ideas for a 1000$ build.

pure gaming? probably i5 2500k
heavily multi-threaded stuff like video encoding? probably the 8350
virtual machines? probably i5 2500k, even though it has less cores but I'm not sure about this one.

Definatly not on par. I would say that both excel in different areas.
ya both are better at different things but i think it would come down to price/preformance
Well anyway if we take a look at the newest inbox.exe Logan said with in the next week or so he will be putting the 8350 against both the 3570k and the 3770k to see in which applications each does best in. I would probably say that video editing and rendering the 8350 will probably take it, but in a mainly gaming machine and applications that mainly benefit from multithreading instead of more cores the i7 is going to take it. But I have heard alot about people who have overclocked their 8350's and they have surpassed overclocked and non overclocked i5's and i7's. Also I believe that the 8350 has alot more overclocking potential.
