Sorry if this seems like hijacking but would he feel a difference in performance with an extra 600ghz? Is it worth overclocking? When does overclocking an fx-8350 give difference in system performance?
I believe you mean mhz not ghz because 600 ghz would make a ton of difference. Yep, 600 mhz is enough for you to pull 1-3 fps more in games, nothing much, it's basically squeezing every drop of performance out of your cpu. Nothing bad will happen as long as you do it right, by the time the increased voltage gets its saying you will need a new cpu because it will be obsolete.
I know I'm late to the party, but I have a similar question/problem. I have an FX-8350 in an Asus M5A99X Evo R2.0 motherboard, and I'm trying to install the H100. When it boots, the mobo doesn't recognize the H100, even though it's definitely plugged into the CPU fan header. It will only boot into the BIOS and won't let me go any farther.
