FX-8350: H110I GT compared to H100I (Current CM Hyper 212 EVO)

So I'm looking to overclock my CPU to around 4.8Ghz and would like to know whether the difference would be worth it and what the main difference in cooling potential (temps) would be between the H110I GT and the H100I. ;) Any help welcome.

I'm going to throw out a general statement somebody else will chastise me for, but the difference between two coolers like that is negligible, if at all existent. Same radiator size? Same fan size? Similar RPM? Similar pump? What's the difference?

The only things that make a noticeable difference are radiator size and thickness, fan optimization and RPM, and pump speed. Other than those things, more expensive parts are a waste unless they are built so well they are promising years of use with a warranty. Anything else is paying for cosmetics and brand name.

Hell, I'm cooling a GPU with a single 20mm x 80mm rad with 2 tiny fans and my max temp is 45 degrees as opposed to 80 with the stock Twin Frozer fans, I $#!@ you not.

Edit: 40mm x 80mm, not 20x80

I've a H100i and had to swap out the stock 120mm fans for two from Noctua. The originals were like sitting next to a hoover. I don't know if things have improved with the H110i. That said, it is a really good cooler. Incidentally, it's cooling a fx8370.

I still prefer air to an AIO even though I'm using one. The Noctua NH-D15 is a beast of a cooler. Much quieter than any AIO with 99% of the cooling capacity just so long as you have good air flow. Cheaper too so it has that going for it.
