FX-8350 5ghz OC (Need CPU cooler suggestions.)

As the title states,I'm in need of a CPU heats for my FX-8350. I'm planning to OC it to 5ghz.I'm currently using an H80i,the temps are horrible, their about the same as my H60... Any suggestions on sub $100 coolers or just a bit over $100?

All suggestions are respected.

Thanks!

Either the H90 of the Kraken x40.

sell the h80i and get a custom loop, most closed loop coolers arent going to be all the great for an 8350 @ 5Ghz

I just bought the H80i,I can still return it,with that being said, how much does a custom loop go for now-a-days?

Once again, thank you for your contribution!

they cost more alot more, but they last alot longer and can be maintained, and you have more control over what your using like how many liter per hour pump you use tubbing length, resivoir capacity, also fittings for the tubbing like compression fittings, also there more radiator options for length and width. not forgeting waterblocks for cpu's which are interchangable as new sockets come out. the list goes on man :)

the initial investment is a sting but the up keep over the years is usually easy sailing, closed loop is like a mac, it brakes it cost's a shit ton to replace, if out of warranty and cant really be upgraded. a custom loop is like desktop if something goes on it you can simply change it out for the price of that part of the loop and or upgrade as you go.

and yes i am trying to sell you on custom loop lol

take a look at some xspc custom kits like the 240 or 360.

Yeah,no. I know that custom loops are good, but I don't have that sort of money on my budget.

Does anyone know any closed loop or custom loop CPU coolers that are just over $100 or sub $100?

Thanks for all of your responses!

You can get those raystorm kits for around 130$ id honestly suggest saving up, but if not go for either a kracken x60 (same price as the custom loop give or take), or a good large air cooler the like the Phanteks-TC14PE or the Noctua NH-D14, as they will cool just as well if not better than everything but the best Closed loop coolers and compared to CLosed loop coolers are a lot less expensive.

I've just looked at reviews of the Kraken vs the H100i,the Kraken seems to beat it by a hefty amount,I've also just looked the the Raystorm benchmarks,it seems really good too. But the price, the raystorm is at $144.99, and the Kraken is ~$134.99.

I'm not sure what to do now, I'm trying to keep it within a $800~$900 budget...

Should I skimp out on other parts for the RayStorm,or should I go with something else and keep the other parts good?

you get what you pay for most of the time and the cheapest xspc kit is an extra $10.... that not very much. I think you can hold back save an extra few bucks and then get the better cooler. dont skimp on the other parts if i were you, but saying that i dont know what else your buying to put in your machine. would help to know

I recommend the alphacool eisberg 240. I use it on my FX-8350 and on my old Phenom II X6 1090T. They work very well and are expandable, if you wanna later add a gpu waterblock. I added a couple of AeroCool Deep Silence 120mm fans to the radiators ('cause vanity and super-silence), but I think the stock fans that ship with the Eisberg kit are probably fine.

Even with import duties, shipping from Germany, and the EU's VAT, they are a stellar price, probably the best bang for the buck out there.
