Is this the best deal ever because a fx 6300 and a hyper 212 is the same price.
Does the fx 8150 suck?

This is another one of those CPU's with value if you're willing to pursue it. You can boost single threaded by 10%-20% at the expense of cutting your core count in half by disabling one core per module. This should also increase OC headroom as well, being that nearly half the chip would be disabled. But as it is, you'd be better off with an FX-6300, unless you're really going to be using all 8 cores.

So you will have a really good quad core then? Better than the 3570k maybe?
Sorry for the bump.
I'd speculate so. Definitely a better value, with more FPS per dollar.
In terms of gaming, the OC'd 8-core Piledriver competes with OC'd Core i7 3770k (both have 8 threads), and there is hardly a difference, as Logan demonstrated multiple times (7870, 670, 7970 OC, and 7970 OC in CF). Now Piledriver is about 7 - 10% faster than Bulldozer at the same clock speed. but with that 1 core per module mod, you can make up that performance and then some, AND be on the same playing field as the Core i5, both having 4 threads.

So based on that, a 4 core/4module Bulldozer chip should be faster than a 3570. Again, even if it isn't, the 8150 should be a heck of better value. I last saw that chip for $130, which makes it $100 cheaper than the 3570k.
