FX 6300 vs 8350 For Gaming?

Heres what I have so far

This is for gaming and multi tasking (I like speed) But im wondering if paying the extra cash for the 8350 would be worth for gaming purposes.

8320!!! with a Hyper 212 just OC it to the 8350's Clock speed and save yourself the money to put somewhere else in your system.

ya the 8320 but if you are pressed for money the 6300 still has great performace

Is there any really big noticeable differences between the two ?

Clock speed, which i think means the 8350 is just binned tighter, but the the highest FX oc ive seen for 8 cores has been an 8320 so it should overclock well.

currently there aint much comming from amd as far as good gaming parts go. the 8350 is a step in the rite direction.

the 6300 is 1 of the cpu's i see a lot of guys complaining about over on toms. most ask the same questions. why is my game stuttering even when they have there buldozers overcloked they just cant handle games well. especially games that use 1 or 2 threads. often regardless of rez and gpu used. they really aint good gaming parts.

the 8350 however is starting to show real promise in that it has sufficent grunt on single threading that it will handle almost any gpu you pair it with so yeah if you can afford it get the 8350. oh and save a little money by not buying a motherboard with 3 pci-e slots if your only every gonna use a single gfx card. ie if your not gonna sli or crossfire in the next 18 months after purchase just buy a cheaper board.

The thing about this motherboard is that it comes with free ram :p

Also do you guys think I should stick with AMD for gaming or go with intel 3470?

if you already have the board then start your build. i would take the intel over the 6300 but i would be hard pushed to recomend any 4 core intel at stock over the 8350 as most new games are using more than 2 threads now.

Stay AMD, and i have heard nothing but good things from people that own the fx 6300 and game, so i would say if want to save the extra money go for the AMD fx 6300 and just overclock the hell out of it, otherwise go for the 8320 and yet again ovedclock the hell out of it.

Unless your power costs are on the high end, then you want the 8350 because the 8320 is way more power hungry at 4.0GHz than the 8350.
