Fx-6300 4x4GB 1833 memory?

I think this might be the best place to post this. It's related to my CPU but also mostly about the memory.

I recently built what I thought was the best budget system.
CPU: AMD FX-6300
MoBo: GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P (rev. 2.0)
Memory: 2x4GB Vengeance 1866 CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9B
GPU: GTX 750 ti

It's an awesome system for what I do. I'm getting into music editing and the 6 cores paired with zippy 1866 speed memory works pretty well.

At first boot, the memory showed up as 1333, but when I enabled X.M.P. all the settings were set to optimal. After a few months of running with 8GB I decided to drop in another 8GB (2x4) of the exact same Vengeance 1866's. (Same model number, same specs, same everything)

Upon booting, the UEFI politely told me that my hardware settings are not compatible, and suggested I load optimal settings. Basically, if I want this to boot, it sets the memory multiplier so that I can only run at 1333 speed. I tried to adjust the multiplier to at least run at 1600, but I keep getting the same UEFI menu popping up which forces the memory back down to 1333.

**I searched Tom's Hardware and found some info, but would like to know if anybody here ACTUALLY has 4x4GB 1866 running with an FX-6300.
If so, how can I make it happen??**

I read that the FX-6300 was designed for 1333 speeds, and they officially got it running stable at 1866... but with only one DIMM in each channel. (i.e. 2x2, not 4x4)

Memory speeds hardly matter in terns of performance in almost all cases unless you're running an amd APU.

Try and fiddle around with the settings to see if you can get it to work, otherwise if you can't then back down the timings.

best way to get it to work is clear the cmos remove battery wait 5 min then replace battery. after you do this go into the bios and enable the X.M.P. and you should be good to go.
