My friend is considering getting a 7950 OC for his new gaming rig after his 7770 OC just wouldn't cut it and I just wanted to see if anyone had a similar setup (6100 with a 7950) and see if they have experienced any form of bottleneck?
Yes, you should tell him to also get a 8350 to even things out, or maybe just a 7870 and a 8350.
A 6100 shouldn't bottleneck a 7950, even when the card is OC'd. If it does, buying an aftermarket cooler and OC'ing the thing should be a cheaper alternative than buying a new CPU
A 6100 should not bottleneck it, and if it does, for some reason, just OC the crap out of the 6100.
