im planning on building a PC this summer (for the first time) and i would like some feedback on the parts i am thinking about using. i am planning on using the computer throughout college for gaming, programming, 3d modeling, etc and i would like it to last until i have finished college with minimal upgrades. thanks for the feedback.

AMD FX-8350

asus sabertooth 990fx

corsair vengeance 32 GB

Seasonic x-1250 1250W

Corsair hydro series h100i

Debating on gpu, storage, optical drive, and cooling options

Hi i am also a first time builder :D

And i have same cpu and stuff look at mine they say its good so :D

But your psu is defently overkill if your not putting more than 2 or 3 graphics cards in

As zanep, pointed out, the PSU is definitely overkill. Depending on what GPU you get and whether or not you plan on OC'ing you'll be looking at something between 500-750w. RAM also seems excessive; 16GB at 1600MHz+ would be sufficient.

Your budget would be helpful in determining what suggestions and/or revision can/should be made.

if you are planing to build in summer, and now, after you've been writing: I would like to have it last until I have finished collage

I would suggest that you wait, until AMD brings out their newest cpu's this year, late 2013. I can't wait anymore, so I'll get an fx 6300
