Future games utilizing more than 4 cores

Sup Logan and Wendell (and quite possibly Qain and Pistol)

So as we are all aware of, the PS4 and Xbox One is out. Since they sport 8-core AMD processors, chances are that devs may take advantage of all 8 cores in their future games. If this were to happen, AMD would likely be the processor brand of choice (like it used to be back in the Athlon XP days). I feel that while great, this could be worrying if you own an Intel processor. I know Pistol is the only one in your crew running an FX-8350 (as far as I know), so she has an advantage, but what about you since you run all Intel? Do you think that if the games start coming, you think that we're gonna have no choice but to use 8-core processors or do you believe that the dame devs could optimize their code to run on at least quad cores, hell even dual cores...? Would you be worried if games started to come out and they were optimized to run better on octa core processors? Should Intel get on building some consumer-based octa cores (and not just the server chips)?

Also, forum members, tell me what you think.

Keep on gaming.

Also, I doubt you'll see this guys, but I have an 8320. Is there any real difference in gaming performance between the two? I am planning to OC to 8350 levels, so is there any big difference other than in processing?

i heard it was 6 cores for games and 2 cores for system processes. battlefield is the only game to support 6 cores i think
