Full screen games wont stay open on main display while using dual monitors

Just as the title says. I want to use my second monitor while I game in full screen on my main display. But anytime I pause the game and hover the cursor over on to my second monitor the game minimizes and causes the displays to go dark for one second.

It is a pain in the ass when I am playing CS:GO cause the matches load so quickly.

Is there anyway around this? I am wanting to start a gaming channel on YouTube, and I need full screen games for my main display. Then have my second display for using capture software and volume controls.

If there is no fix for this. There must be a work around or some tips on how I can achieve this form of window control.

Borderless window mode should fix this, since it doesn't take full control of the desktop like fullscreen would.
Performance would take a small hit but that would be worth it to not deal with minimizing all the time.

Windows should really make to where games do not take full control of the desktop. Like a setting in the system that the user can toggle on and off.

So this must be how all the YouTube gamers do this. They sacrifice the performance for the sake of pushing a video out.

Could there be aftermarket apps that can over ride things like this?

The other option that I know of is to use a 2nd pc, game on PC1 and have 2 be the capture/stream pc.

Not an option. I only have one PC. So I guess it is windowed mode from now on if I want to record a video.

If I have a crossfire setup will I still have this problem?

From what I remember crossfire and sli do not work with windowed mode. I don't have a crossfire setup anymore so maybe someone else can help if they have experience with it.

No fix aside from windowed mode

if you really want to fix it with windows you'd have to do a GPU passthrough to a VM, and from there you can passthrough the display, and that should fix it
