so I have an Internal Usb 3.2 2x2 front panel connector on my motherboard. my question is this, If I use a 3.2 gen2 cable that will come with my case, will I get my theoretical 20 gigabits per second speed? Or do I need to procure a 3.2 2x2 internal cable? Not finding much relevant info on the webs for this particular question. Thank you in advance for helping me increase my knowledge.

There’s no wiring difference, so the cable and connector will work fine as far as that goes. 20Gbps mode is just running 10Gbps on two lanes simultaneously.
Whether you actually get that speed reliably is more a question of signal integrity and distance, but would affect 10Gbps mode as well. It’s possible that a shorter cable (if physically possible) would make a difference if you discover problems when testing.
