From speakers to headphones?

Now please, listen to me as i am very confused. I have a logitech z906 which i am very pleased with, i use it very frequently and enjoy that i can go around without anything on my head, but i have very mixed feelings about sound quality. I am thinking about getting a good headphone with a modmic to replace the speakers and my good ol' siberia v2. I was thinking of the AKG k7xx that's currently on sale on massdrop. Now, i don't really know if the sound quality of it will be good enough to satisfy me while i am gaming and/or listening to music on the go and make me think about that my money - which is quite a lot for me - was a good investment. If you think it wouldn't be, then please can you offer me a headphone that has these:

  1.  Good sound quality for the buck (possibly very good)
  2.  Is open (i like those a lot and fit my lifestyle better)
  3.  Has detachable chord (a feature i like a lot and convinces me about the actual quality, makes me feel better :D )
  4.  Is (very, or at least somewhat) comfortable
  5.  Doesn't cost a metric ton of money (that's around 150-200 bucks max.)

Yes, i know! AKG has just these features! I just need feedback on it thats it's good. If you think gaming and listening to audio on the go needs other features which are possibly different than what i described here, feel free to make offers or teach me better of it :D. What i really like about headphones are obviously Bass, and maybe to some peoples surprise: treble. I love treble, i want to feel music with thin and sharp highs :) Maybe Beyerdynamic dt990?

Thanks an awful lot!

First, there is nothing wrong if you enjoy what you have at the moment. Why feel unsure about if you have to replace what you have at the moment for something you haven't even heard. Especially, when what you have heard sounds good to you?

Second, I don't know about AKG without an amp. Many times when I read about them they seem to require an amp to be driven adequately and get the most out of them sound quality wise.

Third, open headphones aren't all purpose headphones, imo. I mean, I can't stop you from using them everywhere, but I suppose it is more sensible that when you are out and about you have closed headphones to block outside noise/not annoy anyone around you.

If you are happy with what you have at home and you just need something for on the go why not look at some closed on ear headphones or even in ear monitors?

You seem to be influenced by recent Tek video's to a point where you doubt your previous purchases, because someone else is implying they are bad or that you should do this or that... Don't be. Yes, it drives the economy, but I prefer real necessity over (implied) marketing.

Superlux 668B are pretty good and fairly cheap, those Byderdynamics all look very nice but at 250ohm you need a proper amp to drive them, which is probably going to cost ~50usd just for a basic amp by itself without a dac built in, putting them out of your price range.
