I recently built a freenass computer and my hard drives will not be detected while using the sata back plane. Drives using usb are detected just fine. But, the os is on a 120g ssd using the same sata back plane.
Did you set up a Volume?
Top row, Storage, Then Volume Manager.
Also I see the Alert is Red. Top right.
Should be green.
i pluged my 1 tb hard drive in over usb and got it working but i want to get it working sata
I take it that you did set up a Volume?
Different sata port maybe?
I was able to set up a volume the alert is be cause i tried puting the hd back in the hd bay and it is not detected again. I even switched the os drive and the blank drive
the sata ports r fine but the second hd won't get detected. is the anything is setting that would prevent this
