FreeNAS VM USB passthrough any way possible?

Hello again!

I am running an FN 11.1-U5 box and I want to run an Ubuntu VM that will run either mumudvb or TvHeadend (or both) to stream OTA DVB TV to the network.

In order to do this, I need to pass through a USB controller to connect my DVB USB sticks to the VM.

Has anyone ever done this with bhyve?

This might help. Not entirely sure if there’s an easy way to do it in FreeNAS, but this should get you started.
