FreeNAS Box - I think she's ded

So 3 years ago I built a freenas box around an ASRock C2550D4I based on @wendell's awesome guide. I use it on a daily basis, and today I woke up and couldn't connect to it. I can connect to the IPMI, but no dice on the actual nas.

No POST / video
No power to usb keyboard
HDDs and fans spin up
Tried going down to 1 stick of ram in slot A1
tried removing battery and power, holding pwr btn to clear cmos
unplugged all sata and usb devices

Still no luck. My thinkings the motherboard is dead. I can still get into the IPMI but I don't really see anything useful in here (not sure what to look for)

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas? I reallllly don't want to drop another $300 on one of these boards

Warranty its the dead cherry trail problem?

Yeah pretty sure Asrock will take care of you because they will make intel take care of them.

See I thought that too but wasnt that issue like a hard set 18 months or 2yr time frame because it had something to do with the clock? I'm well past that. Unless its not timeframe dependent. In which case it probably is that issue.

I am sure Asrock will take care of you, just contact them. While the issue might have taken longer in your system, its still a hardware issue and cant see them not taking care of you.

I had the same problem with the same board and the problem was the BIOS chip died. Apparently it's very common. If you contact support theybwill be able to send you a new chip and that will most likely sort it out.

So after trouble shooting with asrock support they dont think it is the cherry trail problem but rather a problem with the motherboard detecting power on some of the rails since the 3, 5, and 12v rails show as unavailable on two different power supplies.

Off to RMA, hopefully they replace it without any issues, not sure what the warranty is on these boards
