I would just like recommendations for free to play games on Steam that have a close feel to Battlefield 3. I have yet to find a game that feels right. I am looking for big maps mainly, I do not like the small maps that are in games like Call of Duty. I have already played PS2, and America's Army.
Well, Tribes: Ascend has big maps, but everything else is as far from it as it can get. There's also Arma 2 but I haven't played it.

I have Arma 2 and 3 but they are too slow for what I want right now.
if i remember correctly ghost recon online has decently sizable maps, but it's third person and a bit slower paced compared to most fps
