FPS issues

Tek Syndicate! I've got a problem! Or well, not that much of a problem but still...For me it's quite an issue. I've got an FX 8350, Hd 7950 (boost edition) and 8GB single channel RAM and am getting lower framerates than I should.

When I see others with a similar setup on youtube or benchmark results, they're getting 60 fps minimum in bf3, whereas I get 50 and sometimes even 40 FPS (this used to be even worse before I fixed some things in BIOS).
This setup should also do fine on BF4 and BFH, but on BFH I get 30-50 FPS when i'm not looking at the sky, ground or a wall.

And on low I get 40-55 fps in BFH...Help?

I personally suspect it's my RAM, i've heard that the FX 8350 really really wants dual channel RAM. Is this true?

Or is it, as some say, my GPU?

I also got low framerates on Dirty Bomb up until I did the previously mentioned tweaking in BIOS. (my framerates are still lower than others with the same system. Though still good enough. Others easily get 70-120 or something like that..I get 60-80)

I would really like some help with this! Thanks!

Try the Mantle renderer option if you haven't already. 64 player multiplayer on some maps in BF4 are very CPU hungry, but Mantle helps taking that down considerably. I haven't tried the game with that type of CPU, but I doubt that it's so necessary to run in dual channel mode. Single channel does fine with my i5.

It's often difficult to compare results from others. They might not be running exactly the same configuration (even if they think they are) and might not be looking at the FPS readout in the same situations as you are. I would assume however that with a HD7950 (used to have one but upgraded before Mantle) it's best to keep the settings at around Medium for the most part, with the textures at High or Ultra.
