FPS Creator Reloaded

Has anyone tried this out?  I get paid in a few days and I'm going to pick it up.  I downloaded the Unity Engine but I am not a "legit" game maker.  I'm a filmmaker.  So I know how to use cameras, not how to model wireframed characters and texture them and animate them.  That's not my thing.

So I decided to look around for something less complicated and simpler to make a game of some kind with premade parts I could use instead.  Turns out, this has EXACTLY that.  Premade packs of materials and I can easily place them in the game worlds that I create which can be made up entirely within minutes.

The engine actually looks like it works in a very similar way as the Far Cry 2 level creator.  You have a few terrain deformation tools and then a suite of characters, models, buildings, etc that you can fill in the environment with.

Again, I'm going to buy it when I get paid here in a few days, anyone else tried it?  It's similar to the original FPS Creator but it's more powerful and seems to produce much better graphics.  Plus the game creation looks to be a tad bit more advanced.

cool, you're gona make machina?

I'd like to make some cool levels.  So far the program is still in EARLY beta so it's pretty glitchy and buggy.  For instance after a certain crash of the program a few minutes ago, now the program won't load at all unless I replace one of the exe files or just reinstall the program.

Kind of annoying.  EITHER WAY the program has some good power behind it and like I said it's REALLY early beta anyway so there are going to be tons of features coming up in the next several months.  I'll be using it the whole time and hopefully the program will become more full featured and robust.  For Gold subscribers they are adding a bunch of new models for things here in a few months.  Specifically all the models from the old FPS creator program as well as new horror based models made just for the new engine.

I'm hoping some of these bigger bugs are fixed soon.  And they've released 6 updates since December so at least they're working on it and constantly adding new functions and features.  I'll keep you guys up to date with what I'm doing with it if anything cool turns up. :)
