Forums Software

Hello Logan/ TekSyndicate community

I would have a website for a game a friend and I produced. I would like to install forums here, without writing my own. I have already ruled out vBulletin (I still don't understand why it's so popular, its written so poorly), and phpBB (It gives me multiple MySQL errors). What is the best forums software for my situation? I am wiling to pay pretty much any fee if necessary.

I personally like writing my own software but its not always comparable to a lot of the higher quality stuff.
phpBB is good if you're willing to try and fix the SQL Errors.
