I’m trying not to get my hopes up, but are my assumptions right?

I’m very interested in this in context of nested virtualization. Because does it basically mean that if we actually use passthrough - we can have nested VMs with… kind of nested passthrough?.. At least native GPU performance in nested VMs?..
Now do it to NVIDIA.
It looks like this an important milestone towards the goal of being able to game without the need for passthrough. It won’t allow all games using any API to run in any guest but it seems promising that running some games that use specific APIs may soon be possible under some guest configurations.
Might be cool for Linux based gaming VMs because it’s either Vulkan or OpenGL on this platform. Even Wine or Proton translate GPU calls into one of these APIs.
