For Gaming: AMD A10-5800K or FX-6300?

Hey guys,

both of these CPU's are around the same price range, iwas wondering which one would be better for a college desktop that will be going under some serious gaming alongside a 7870.

P.S. if you woul like to recommend a motherboard ($100-under) with your CPU suggestion that would help out a ton

with the gpu selected, the fx-6300 hands down. ill try to get a system together. whats ur budget?

So far it's a little under $1000, trying to keep it that way. My current parts list is (aside from cpu/motherboard):

Seagate Barracuda 1TB

Sapphire radeon hd 7870 ghz edition

Seasonic x650 Gold

Corsair Vengance LP (16g gb, 1600)

and of course a hyper 212 evo
