Nothing to see here, folks.
why is it that you think foobar is better ?
I am dling... only one thing matters... sound quality... we shall see.
OK... have you ever used foobar?
I tweaked the hell out of AIMP2... it sounds a lot better than iTunes... it is about as functional as winamp... and it sounds like mud compared to foobar... Foobar sounds SO much cleaner... it is huge difference... and I tweaked the eq... I enabled 32bit mode, etc...
It is not a bad program... it sounds cleaner than winamp... but winamp seems to have better range... not sure why..
anyway, foobar destroys this in every way.
with aimp you can even use your sony ericsson as a remote , LOL
i agree that music quality is maybe the most important thing but foobar's interface annoy's the hell out of me, i know , they try to keep it simple but it makes me feel like i am using windows nt
that's the best part about it... you can customize the hell out of it...
there are hundreds of skins for foobar as well...

must download if i can use my phone as a remote thats by far superb i can do that with my ipod and itunes but i HATE itunes so much
Foobar works with phones...
takes a tiny bit of configuring... use global hotkeys so you don't have to leave it as the active window... I love my global hot keys.

Logan are you using any external sound card ?
no.. have the auzentech X-FI prelude... it's nice.
dad has an internal/ external creative e-mu or something ridiculous like that.
I must agree, Foobar is very nice. I compared Shackler's Revenge which I bought off itunes and converted to 320kbps MP3 to a flac version I downloaded. I tried the MP3 file in iTunes, and the Flac in Foobar. And something about the Flac in foobar just sounded a tad nicer; I could tell despite the fact I'm using Realtek HD audio plugged into an 80's/90's Boombox via a 3.5mm to RCA cable xD
Was it because I'm using Foobar or was it because I was comparing Flac to MP3?
it was probably because of the flac and a little with foobar but flac is much better quality
i have a question.
i use onboard audio, and cant tell much difference between foobar and winamp and wmp. will getting a good soundcard make me notice more of a difference between the programs playback quality?

OH MY FUCKING GOD LOL.
Sorry, you don't actually deserve humiliation, but...
comparing .flac to .mp3 is like comparing 1080p .avi to 640x320 .3gp cell phone video.
.avi is (often) uncompressed, while .3gp is compressed for a minute per megabyte.
Uhm what he said.
I dont use flac tho.
True, I listen to CD's though :D
And if I do put it on my PC it's at 320kbps mp3.
CD > Mp3

i'd also like to add, would you really hear any difference if you have mediocre speakers? this is what i have..
