did you know that? i didnt till now. thank you teksyn. im sure this is the right forum.
Now if only it did ALAC so I could use it with my iPod.
I only used .flac with Foobar. My library is only 4% lossy.
Almost 2/3 of my library is .FLAC, it just sounds better to me, not sure maybe it's the placebo effect but I find myself not wanting to listen to >320Kb/s music since I got new headphones and an amp/dac.
You don't even know....I once downloaded a .mpc file and had no idea what to do with it, fired up foobar and voila it played. After which I converted it (yes kill me I converted lossy->lossy), since obviously my phone can't play it.
So is .mpc even higher quality?
no. less. .wav i think is the highest, as it is uncompressed, practically
.wav is uncompressed .mp3, so sounds pretty great, but isn't any better than .flac.
It can, I have the daft punk album in ALAC
I have been unable to find a component that allows it to do that, and it definitely does not support ALAC encoding by default.
i refuse to make a mix with .wav, thats why flac is the shiz
