(Fixed) Openmediavault NAS repository problem

Hi all, I have been googling this for a while now and I cannot find a solution to a problem I am facing. I have openmediavault 4.1.25-1 (Debian 9.11 stretch) when I try to do ‘‘Sudo apt-get update’’ after adding the plex and Debian stretch backports main repository, I get the following:

I have tried ’ chmod o+r /etc/resolv.conf’ etc

I have absolutely no idea what is wrong here, I know it is having problems reaching the debian servers. I am not sure if I have included everything valid here but if you need any additional info, please ask. Thanks

Are you 200% sure its got an internet connection?

Can you please post your /etc/apt/sources.list and also anything in /etc/atp/sources.list.d/*?

Is the time correct on the machine?

yup checked that

these were the only sources.list.d/* files that had stuff in them

ok thats interesting, so obvious I never thought to check, I pinged google (64.233.169.104) and it returned destination unreachable. I can access the media on it across my local network however, it doesnt seem to connected outside of the the LAN.

In the openmediavault-local.list there it is ndeb instead of deb.

But otherwise, it looks like it should.

Yah, this seems to be a networking issue not a source config issue.

ndeb was probably me mistyping when trying to exit

Might be DNS issue? What does 4.2.2.2 return?

changing the DNS in resolv.conf to 4.2.2.2 from 8.8.8.8 does nothing, still getting same errors

I meant ping the IP.

sorry I misunderstood, it returns destination unreachable.

Fixed followed the guide of a reddit comment:

Log in at the console (you’ll need a display/keyboard) as root. Once logged in, type omv-firstaid and hit enter. One of the options is to reconfigure your network.
