[Fixed]Help!

I'm helping a friend build his computer but it will not connect to the internet. it has a MSI MoBo. We are using Ethernet and  won't connect to the internet. I think its a drive problem but I don't know.

Thing we've tried:

Disc the came with (the lan option is geryed out)

different Ethernet cables

different ports (on the router)

restarting the router

 

I going to try and get the driver from another computer and see if that works

 

 

 

FIXED! I got there drive from another computer and it worked!

go to MSI.com on another computer and search for the drivers for that motherboard.

Which MSI motherboard?

Check the UEFI to see if LAN is disabled.  I believe there is an option for that in MSI UEFIs.

Otherwise, it just might be a lemon.

If you can't get it to work after installing the newest drivers ... you can try a different adapter w/drivers ...try both wired and wifi if you can.
